Welcome!

Hi! I’m Michaela, a passionate Technical Artist originally from Indonesia, now proud to call Vancouver, Canada, home as a Permanent Resident. My journey into Technical Arts began at Capilano University, where I earned my degree in 3D Animation. To further expand my technical expertise, I’m currently completing the Technical Arts program at BCIT, with graduation expected in August 2025.

Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with talented artists as a Technical Animator and CFX Artist on well-known, successful productions such as Transformers: Earthspark (Nickelodeon), T.O.T.S. (Disney Junior), and The Search for WondLa (Apple TV). These experiences have allowed me to contribute to dynamic, visually engaging content enjoyed by audiences worldwide and to proudly see my name in the credits.

I’m proficient in industry-standard software including Maya, Unreal Engine, Houdini, Python, and more. Originally from Indonesia, I never imagined I’d have the opportunity to study abroad and pursue my dream career. Taking that leap has been incredibly rewarding, and it’s a point of pride to see my work on screen, knowing it brings joy to audiences around the world and to my family back home.

Outside of work, I draw inspiration from the stories I love. Some of my favorite animated films include Toy Story, Spirited Away, Coco, Zootopia, and Puss in Boots. I’ve been playing The Sims since childhood, still enjoy Mario Kart, and am currently immersed in Cyberpunk 2077. These stories continue to inspire my creativity and fuel my passion for storytelling in both film and games.
